VATICAN - Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò said the 2020 presidential election presents Americans with a “biblical” challenge “against the demonic forces of the deep state and against the New World Order.” The Catholic Church’s former Apostolic Nuncio to the US once again warned voters that warring principalities unseen to the human eye will clash on Election Day. The archbishop previously framed the political landscape to a battle between “the children of light and the children of darkness” in June.
HUNGARY - Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Friday rejected the European Union’s new migration plan, and reiterated his opposition to his country having a multicultural society. “In Hungary, we are very strict that we would not like to have a parallel society, or open society or a mixed-up culture,” he told Reuters. “We don’t think a mixture of Muslim and Christian society could be a peaceful one and could provide security and good life for the people.” Migration in Hungary is a “national security issue,” said Orban, who previously claimed that “multiculturalism has failed in Europe.” No one can enter Hungary “without having a legally completed procedure and getting a clear permission to do so,” he said in Friday’s interview.
VATICAN - Pope Francis denounced the nations and international groups that promote abortion, telling the UN General Assembly Friday that the “unborn child” must be protected. “Sad to say, some countries and international institutions are also promoting abortion as one of the so-called ‘essential services’ provided in the humanitarian response to the pandemic,” the pope said in a video-streamed message delivered from the Vatican. “It is troubling to see how simple and convenient it has become for some to deny the existence of a human life as a solution to problems that can and must be solved for both the mother and her unborn child,” he added. The United Nations itself has been one of the “international institutions” that promotes abortion worldwide, especially through the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
UK - A British mum of two is suing her former employer after being sacked for posting online criticism of LGBT teaching. Why do the woke brigade loudly champion religious, ethnic and gender minorities but won’t accept Christian views? Negotiating life in modern woke culture requires real dexterity. Sometimes a person slips up, finding it impossible to hold their tongue about how they really feel and then discovering that, in blurting out beliefs considered ‘not quite right,’ they have unleashed a maelstrom. Beware! If the woke police catch you, there is absolutely no defence and you will be savaged by the snapping packs of vengeful liberals who know no mercy. Even Christian beliefs are now taken to task when they come up against the might of the woke agenda. One thing that is a bit more certain is that if the liberals, the gender police and the woke militia find out that you disagree with them, then your card will be marked. You become an anachronism, out of touch, not quite there, certainly not on message. A social pariah.
UK - Morrisons has become the first major supermarket in the UK to impose rationing on certain items to stop Britons panic-buying after the government imposed further coronavirus restrictions and said another lockdown could be activated. At the start of the pandemic, particularly in March and April, the UK saw supermarket shelves emptied of essentials like toilet paper, pasta, flour, tinned foods, and medicines, leading food retailers to strictly limit purchases of such items for months. The panic-buying coincided with increasing warnings from the government over the possibility of a lockdown, with restrictions put in place on March 23rd.
GERMANY - Markus Söder is the one to watch in German politics. The ascent of the Bavarian Minister-President and leader of the Bavarian Christian Social Union is probably the closest modern Germany has come to Macron-style disruption. The situation is less dramatic than France in 2017 — there is no great disaffection with Chancellor Angela Merkel or with politics in general — but there is a sense that the country needs a shift in direction.
UNITED NATIONS - "In the end, the United Nations can only be as good as its members are united," Merkel said in a video message delivered Monday evening at a ceremony marking the anniversary. "Too often the UN Security Council is blocked when clear decisions are needed," the chancellor said, referring to the branch of the UN tasked with ensuring international peace and security. "We need reform." The interests of individual members regularly keep the organization from achieving its goals, Merkel said. "But anyone who thinks he can get along better on his own is mistaken. Our well-being is shared. And so is our suffering," she said. "We are one world."
GREECE - The agreement to resume talks, confirmed by US and Greek officials, comes after a four-year suspension. By the end of this month, the two countries hope to meet for exploratory discussions that could eventually resolve the maritime issue, perhaps through third-party arbitration or referral to the international court in The Hague.
USA - Americans are being warned to "stay home and stay off the roads" tonight after a Grand Jury in Louisville, KY failed to Indict three of four police officers for the death of Breonna Taylor. Rioters are already smashing stores and businesses in Louisville and law enforcement has Intel claiming rioters all over the USA are being mobilized for destruction tonight. There is significant money behind these rioters and some of that money has now been traced. In Louisville, immediately after the Grand Jury decision was made public, "activists" made a bee-line for a U-Haul rental truck and… lo and behold… it was full of signs, posters, sticks and more!
UK - Britons have allegedly been inundating the police non-emergency number 101 with reports of their neighbours breaking the ‘rule of six’ coronavirus law. It would appear that the case of a woman calling the police on a funeral wake in a pub garden because she thought people were standing too close together was not an isolated incident. Senior police officers have had to put more telephonist staff on call to deal with the rising numbers, according to sources speaking to The Times. The need followed senior ministers instructing Britons to call the police if they see people gathering in groups of larger than six under recently-imposed coronavirus laws. Health Secretary Matt Hancock even said that the police would “come down hard” on people who fail to self-isolate after receiving a positive test result for coronavirus.
USA - An San Franciscan father and son were walking their dog in Golden Gate Park on Thursday when they turned the corner and encountered 14 cavorting raccoons. Marc Estoque and his boy were surprised to see the animals in broad daylight and approach so closely as they made their way along a trail next to North Lake near 43rd Avenue and Fulton. "It was so surreal… a posse of bandits… like out of a movie," Estoque said. "And then two minutes later there was a coyote.” He captured photos and video of the moment and he's sharing them to raise awareness about an increasing problem in the park with people feeding wildlife and the animals losing their natural fear of humans and congregating in large groups. Estoque and his son didn't offer the critters food, but the raccoons were likely looking for snacks. "We want to keep the animals wild," he said. Wildlife ecologist Jonathan Young said food handouts to wildlife increases the potential for attacks on humans, and he has witnessed people in the park hand-feeding animals. Feeding wildlife is punishable as a misdemeanor with a fine up to $1,000 and/or six months in jail.
UNITED NATIONS - UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Monday called for “improved world governance” as one solution to constant geopolitical upheaval, with the globalist body central to his appeal for the revival of multilateralism. The Portuguese socialist spoke as the UN marks its 75th anniversary and the coronavirus pandemic continues its deadly toll. AP reports Guterres said, “Today, we have a surplus of multilateral challenges and a deficit of multilateral solutions” before pointing to coronavirus and saying it has “laid bare the world’s fragilities,” which can only be addressed together. “Climate calamity looms, biodiversity is collapsing, poverty is rising, hatred is spreading, geopolitical tensions are escalating, nuclear weapons remain on hair-trigger alert,” Guterres conceded, without specifically adding just what the UN has done to alleviate those problems – if anything. Emphasizing instead the need for a new “multilateral society,” Guterres said,“no one wants a world government — but we must work together to improve world governance.”
USA - It seems no matter where we go throughout the day, there’s a camera close by. While passing by a security camera may not shock many people, a new study finds the average person is being filmed more often than they think. From walking the dog to driving into work, researchers say Americans are being caught on security cameras at least 238 times every week. The report by Safety.com finds that surveillance technology is spreading to every corner of the globe. Studies estimate there will be around one billion security cameras filming worldwide by 2021. Between 10 and 18 percent of those devices will be in the United States.
USA - There is a cohort of close observers of our presidential elections, scholars and lawyers and political strategists, who find themselves in the uneasy position of intelligence analysts in the months before 9/11. As November 3 approaches, their screens are blinking red, alight with warnings that the political system does not know how to absorb. They see the obvious signs that we all see, but they also know subtle things that most of us do not. Something dangerous has hove into view, and the nation is lurching into its path.
