Roe vs Wade: Supreme Court Allows Abortion Curbs

USA - The US Supreme Court majority insisted it was merely issuing a procedural order late Wednesday night when it let Texas ban most abortions after six weeks. But with the court set to consider overturning the landmark Roe vs Wade case in coming months, the 5-4 decision stands as an ominous sign for the fate of constitutional abortion rights. The one-paragraph order brushed aside arguments that the law is a clear violation of the court’s long-standing precedents protecting abortion rights until much later into pregnancy. The majority included Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, who in other types of cases haven’t been as quick to overturn precedents as their fellow conservatives.

Atheist Head ‘Chaplain’ Will Have ‘No Influence’ on Religious Life

USA - Two faith-based organizations associated with Harvard University have claimed the New York Times story about the unanimous election of an atheist humanist as head “chaplain” at the school was mischaracterized since the role is “purely administrative” and has “no influence.” The Harvard Catholic Center and the school’s Christian Alumni Society defended the decision of more than 40 chaplains to elect atheist Greg Epstein, author of Good Without God, to be its new president of the chaplains’ organization. “There is a rising group of people who no longer identify with any religious tradition but still experience a real need for conversation and support around what it means to be a good human and live an ethical life,” Epstein told the New York Times, where he was presented as having arisen to the role largely because university students have grown increasingly secular. “We don’t look to a god for answers,” he said. “We are each other’s answers.” According to the Times, Epstein has been “teaching students about the progressive movement that centers people’s relationships with one another instead of with God.”

This Is The Weirdest Employment Market Ever

USA - Things just continue to get crazier and crazier. In all of the years that I have been writing about the economy, I have never seen anything like this. The latest employment report that was released on Friday is being described as a “huge disappointment” because the number of Americans that were hired last month was way, way below expectations. Employment only rose by 235,000, but economists were expecting a number about triple that size. Normally when this sort of thing happens it is because of a lack of available jobs. But that is definitely not the case right now. There are literally millions upon millions of jobs that are open, but for a variety of reasons people simply don’t want them.

Vice President Kamala Harris: Grotesque hypocrisy

USA - There are few people more hypocritical than COVID-19 vaccine authoritarians who also support abortion on demand, especially when the person happens to be the Vice President of the United States. Kamala Harris has been all-in for Americans to get vaccinated after she and Joe Biden won the White House last November. “As recently as 2019,” when Harris was still a US senator, Favocci notes, she “voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act that would require doctors to give medical care to infants born alive after a botched abortion (truly a barbaric world when a procedure is deemed a failure when a baby survives it).” There’s more to this hypocrisy. Like all abortion advocates, we are told it’s a “choice” — ‘a woman’s body, a woman’s choice.’ But suddenly, Americans don’t have a “choice” when it comes to the COVID vaccine; we’re to take it and shut up if we want our ‘normal’ lives back.

Why is that?

Internet shutdowns: The new authoritarian weapon of choice

USA - Over the last decade, governments worldwide have intentionally shut down the internet at least 850 times, with a whopping 90% of those shutdowns taking place over just the last five years. What's behind this troubling trend? "More people are getting online and getting access to the internet," said Marianne Díaz Hernández, a lawyer in Venezuela and a fellow with the nonprofit Access Now. "As governments see this as a threat, they start thinking the internet is something they need to control." These staggering statistics come from a new report released Wednesday by Access Now and Jigsaw, a division of Alphabet that focuses on addressing societal threats with technology. The report documents the history of internet shutdowns over the last decade, the economic toll shutdowns take on the countries that impose them and what governments and the broader business and civil society community can do to stop what has fast become a widespread and grave human rights violation.

“Kabul is Phase One on the Way to Conquering the World”

ISRAEL - Mordechai Kedar was a member of IDF intelligence for 25 years. The Researcher at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, internationally known scholar, columnist and lecturer, spoke to Italian journalist Giulio Meotti about the fall of Kabul. “Kabul is pumping new blood into the arteries of the jihad and the results are seen all over the world. We must understand that the Islamic mentality is a ‘zero sum game’. When Islam wins, Christianity loses and the ‘crusaders’ lose. They always see a connection between what happened in the 10th century and what happens in the 21st century”, said Kedar.

US withdrawal from Afghanistan will lead to EU army

EUROPE - The US withdrawal from Afghanistan will “catalyse” the EU to establish its own permanent military force, the union’s foreign policy chief has said, despite years of fruitless debate and opposition from member states. After a meeting of EU defence ministers, Josep Borrell, the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs, said the moment had come to establish an active EU expeditionary force, described by some senior European politicians as an army. Borrell said EU impotence during the crisis should be a “wake up call”. He has been backed in his calls by the European council president, Charles Michel, and the EU internal market commissioner, Thierry Breton. “It’s clear that the need for more European defence has never been as much as evident as today after the events in Afghanistan,” Borrell said. “There are events that catalyse the history. Sometimes something happens that pushes the history, it creates a breakthrough and I think the Afghanistan events of this summer are one of these cases.”

GERMANY: Leading contenders promote militarism, police...

GERMANY - The policies of the next German government will be characterised by militarism, police build-up, the dismantling of social gains and the unrestricted spread of COVID-19, irrespective of the result of the federal election on September 26. This was the clear message from the television debate between the main candidates of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the Greens, broadcast by the private channel RTL on Sunday evening.

World Economic Forum (WEF) Warns of Cyberattack

SWITZERLAND - In November 2020, the World Economic Forum (WEF) and Carnegie Endowment for International Peace co-produced a report that warned that the global financial system was increasingly vulnerable to cyber attacks. Advisors to the group that produced the report included representatives from the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England, the International Monetary Fund, Wall Street giants likes JP Morgan Chase and Silicon Valley behemoths like Amazon.

The 174 countries at WAR in 2021

UNITED NATIONS - The Second World War concluded 76 years ago, but conflicts between different countries did not come to an end at that time. Nations around the world are grappling with the coronavirus pandemic, economic downturns and destructive wars which have been thus far unresolved by diplomacy. Recent conflict analysis has revealed just 23 countries and territories have had no reported battles, violence against civilians, explosions or remote violence, riots, protests or strategic developments in 2021 so far - meaning the remaining 174 countries have been at war in some form or another in 2021.

The complications from sex reassignment surgery are horrific

USA - A culture of silence and fear stops people learning what really can happen when you undergo ‘sex change’ operations. The trans lobby tries to portray it as easy and straightforward – yet it’s anything but... These hidden victims are the young transgenders themselves, who are led to believe so strongly that they can ‘change their sex’ that they undergo sex-reassignment surgery, only to find themselves not just disappointed by the result, but horrified.

Not A Normal September For The Rapidly Imploding US Economy

USA - The “good times” were supposed to be rolling by now, but instead the wheels are starting to come off, and the economic outlook for the rest of the year is not good at all. Just yesterday, I warned my readers that things were about to get worse, and it only took exactly a single day for that to actually happen. As you will see below, major factory shutdowns were just announced, and that is going to make shortages even worse. Fear of COVID is restricting production all over the globe, and meanwhile national governments and central banks have been absolutely flooding their systems with fresh cash. As a result, we now have way too much money chasing way too few goods and services, and anyone that has taken ECON 101 will tell you that will inevitably result in higher prices and shortages… if there is something that you need to buy, run out and get it now because the shortages are only going to get worse in the coming months.

'In Afghanistan, We've Opened the Gates of Hell'

AFGHANISTAN - The Afghanistan fiasco is the worst strategic blunder since 1938: the year that British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain waved around a copy of the Munich Agreement and proclaimed "peace in our time." Chamberlain's failure to understand the enemy gave Germany the space it needed to invade Poland - the event that marked the start of World War II. Chamberlain resigned in 1940 when his political support evaporated. Winston Churchill assumed power, ultimately snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. President Joe Biden's debacle will have no such savior; the Islamic jihad isn't that kind of war. Instead of getting us out of Afghanistan, and bringing peace in our time, he's opened the gates of hell.

Joe Biden on brink

USA - Joe Biden is facing mounting pressure over his handling of Afghanistan - with one member of his inner-circle "appalled" and "horrified" with the performance of the US President. President Biden has faced a barrage of criticism over his decision to suddenly withdraw US troops from Afghanistan following the takeover by the Taliban.

Massive flooding across Northeast USA

USA - White House adviser Cedric Richmond, the former Louisiana lawmaker who has been tasked with heading up the White House’s response to Hurricane Ida in the Gulf Coast, said the administration remains focused on power restoration in the Gulf Coast where nearly a million people are still without power.

“Just what is an APOSTLE?”
Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!

Listen to Me, You who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My Law: …I have put My words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “you are My people” (Isaiah 51:7,16)
