Lately, Disney’s “coming-of-age” films have been out of touch with what parents want their kids to watch. They often push content with themes around witchcraft, sex, and violence. Last year, the company lost over $100 million each for their animated movies, “Light Year” and “Strange World,” which depicted same-sex relationships on screen.

Movieguide chairman and founder Ted Baehr, is calling on parents to petition Disney+ to stop the release of “Pauline” on the platform. “Let me be clear. Pauline is not just another piece of entertainment,” Baehr added. “Horrifically, this series even portrays Satan as a romantic partner! By normalizing and promoting such a relationship, Pauline sends a dangerous message to young viewers that associating with demons, Satan, and evil is acceptable and even desirable!”

Indeed, the League’s rapprochement with Assad should be seen as a repudiation of US policy, and especially as a sign of how Washington’s influence among Leage members—the most powerful of which are Saudi Arabia and Egypt—has waned. Moreover, this is just the latest bad news for Washington’s influence in the region coming mere weeks after Iran and Saudi Arabia reestablished diplomatic relations.

In both cases, we find regimes that Washington had sought to isolate and sanction, but both states have instead been expanding their relations with other states in the region with the help of China. Meanwhile, both Beijing and Riyadh have increased their ties with Russia. These developments help illustrate how growing US attempts to impose—or threaten to impose—hard line sanctions against a growing number of regimes has only accelerated a global movement away from the US dollar and away from Washington’s orbit.

The US Dollar’s status as the world’s reserve currency and the Petrodollar have enabled us to accumulate a massive national debt without crumbling under the weight of it because the vast majority of other nations would crumble along with us. But if China, Russia, or a globalist coalition pulls the financial rug out from under us, we will fail.

Central banks know this, which is why they’re moving as much as they can as quickly as possible to precious metals. According to London-based Financial Times writer Daria Mosolova: “Central bankers who manage trillions in foreign exchange reserves are loading up on gold as geopolitical tensions including the war in Ukraine force them to rethink their investment strategies”.

Men, women, and children scrounge about in debilitating heat and die in mine shaft collapses while the militias who “recruited” them from villages across the country look on in indifference. At best, these indentured servants are paid a dollar or two a day for their gruelling work.

We will be seeing civil war, nuclear war and financial calamity soon. Quayle predicts dramatic changes coming, and most people are simply not aware or even prepared in the slightest. The so-called “debt ceiling” is still not decided in Congress, but even if they approve a fresh $1 trillion or $2 trillion in federal spending, who is going to buy the debt? The G7 wanted nothing to do with new debt and told Yellen what are you going to do about your old debt? You had the President of Kenya tell his citizens three weeks ago to get rid of their US dollars because they may not have any value…

Investors have fallen out of love with UK bonds this year. Imogen Bachra, head of UK rates strategy at NatWest, says the overseas buyers and pension funds that used to hoover up gilts are now questioning if the UK offers value for money. After all, returns on bonds are usually fixed, which makes them a riskier bet when prices are rising.

If swap rates stay this high, the burden will be passed directly onto borrowers, says Andrew Wishart, senior property economist at Capital Economics. "We're heading into an election year. And so I think any headroom that the Government does have from a fiscal perspective will just be recycled into pre-election giveaways in the months [ahead of the vote]."

Ultimately though, giveaways will do little to mask the tough path ahead. Saunders, who is now a senior adviser at Oxford Economics, believes getting inflation back to 2 percent will not be difficult, though it will come at a price. "We can get there. But it's going to be painful. Painful for the economy, painful for households, and painful for businesses."

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, along with the head of US Indo-Pacific Command Admiral, John Aquilino – and other uniformed and civilian officials – have asked Beijing for dialogue, but “those requests [were] rejected or not answered,” he said. “The US and Department of Defense have had an outstretched hand on this question of military to military engagement, but we have yet to have consistently willing partners,” Ely Ratner explained.

The Russian embassy in Washington responded to the reaction from the White House by pointing out that “it is the sovereign right of Russia and Belarus to ensure their security by means we deem necessary amidst a large-scale hybrid war unleashed by Washington against us.”

Moscow’s actions are “fully consistent with our international legal obligations,” the embassy said on Telegram on Saturday. Tactical nuclear weapons aren’t being transferred to Belarus, “the control over them and decision on their use remain with the Russian side,” it said.

CNN reported: A 32-ounce bottle of ketchup went from $4.08 on average the week of May 16, 2022, to $5.22 in the week of May 15, 2023, according to Datasembly, which measures weekly changes in grocery prices at over 150,000 US stores for its Grocery Price Index. That’s a jump of nearly 28%. Other condiments are also pricey. A 20-ounce bottle of mustard rose about 13% in that time period, and 26-ounce bottles and jars of relish jumped about 12%.
